The main task of the tension and straightening machine production line is to unwind the rolled plate through the cold rolling mill, the inlet S-roll, the straightening machine, the exit S-roll, and the coiler, and finally produce a finished product roll whose elongation rate reaches the requirements. The main equipments include unwinding machine, inlet S-roll, precision straightening machine, export S-roller, coiling machine and so on.

The main control requirement of the tension and straightening machine production line is to control the speed difference between the 2#S roller and the 3#S roller so that the sheet reaches the set elongation to change the physical properties of the sheet. Therefore, it is necessary to select the devices that can meet the control requirements to form the control system. Based on the above conditions, we chose the SIEMENS S5-135U series PLC to connect to the input and output slaves in the field console through the PROFIBUS-DP communication bus. The DC motor driver selects CT company's MENTOR II series controller.
The PLC system selects 928B CPU, IP281 high-speed counter, IM308C communication processor, ET200U remote IO slave and other switch and analog input/output modules. The control system calculates the elongation rate by using the high speed counter connected to the No. 2 and No. 3S rollers to calculate the elongation difference between No. 2 and No. 3 rollers to realize the closed loop control of the elongation rate; according to the line speed and the winding speed of the winder and winder, the winding diameter is calculated to control the power. Pivotal current and excitation current realize constant tension winding control.

The currents of C, 1 and 4#S rollers are controlled by constant torque control of 2, 3#S rollers respectively;

E, PLC adopts the master-slave mode of the PROFIBUS bus structure and communicates with the operator station PLC, which greatly reduces the on-site cable and wiring work. At the same time, the reliability of the system has also been greatly improved;
