BSQUARE launched a new 3G development kit for OMAP35x processors, effectively reducing technical risks
BSQUARE Corp. has announced the launch of a new 3G development kit for Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP35x evaluation module (EVM) and Microsoft WindowsR CE 6 operating system. This kit can help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to add 3G data connection capabilities to their TI OMAP35x processor device designs, greatly reducing technical risks and saving 60% integration and testing in embedded 3G device designs Windows CE time.
The 3G development kit includes the Sierra Wireless MC5727 embedded radio module with EV-DO Revision A network certification, pre-integrated Windows CE 6 radio interface layer (RIL) software, and an interface panel to connect the embedded radio to TI OMAP35x EVM. OEMs have also installed this ready-to-use solution from BSQUARE, and have been able to immediately develop data-based applications such as digital signage, vending machines, POS devices, and have Internet browsing and e-mail access, Office network or Internet network function data collection terminal.
