China's top 100 profit of electronic information is only 40% of Apple's

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the results of last year's evaluation of top 100 electronic information companies in China. The results show that China’s top 100 electronic information companies realized a total profit of 88.4 billion yuan (equivalent to 13.8 billion US dollars), which is only about 40% of Apple’s profits. .

According to the list, the top three Chinese top 100 electronic information companies are Huawei, Lenovo, and Haier, with their main business revenues exceeding 100 billion yuan each. However, compared with the net income of $108.249 billion for Apple in fiscal year 2011, these companies have only about 1/6 of Apple's annual revenue. Although Apple's fiscal 2010 revenue was only US$65.225 billion, it had already become the largest high-tech company in the United States by 2011.

The total business income of the top 100 electronic information companies in China totaled 1.76 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.7% over the previous year. In terms of profits, China’s top 100 electronic information companies achieved a total profit of 88.4 billion yuan, accounting for 27% of the total industry. In fiscal year 2011, Apple’s net profit was US$33.79 billion, which was more than double the profit of China’s top 100 electronic information companies.

However, for Apple's high profits, there are industry insiders believe that Apple is too tricky. "It is not too much to use the term "rich incompatibility" for Apple, but behind the high revenue, it is very harsh for employees and OEM companies," said an insider of a domestic apple supplier.

As an Apple partner, Foxconn's Hon Hai’s profit margin fell from 5.9% in 2006 to around 2%. Although Foxconn produces iPhones and iPads for Apple, the profits it earns are minimal. According to an American scholar's survey data, for every iPhone sold, Taiwan can only make a profit of 0.5%, and iPad is 2%, compared with 58.5% and 30%.
