Metro uses LED lighting energy-saving effect is good

The first phase of the Guangzhou Metro Line 6 (Changchun-Changfenggang station) will be opened before the end of this year. At present, the installation and renovation of the electromechanical equipment of the station of Line 6 is also coming to an end, and the cumulative total of 95% has been completed.

In order to implement the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection, in addition to the station emergency lighting and personalized design areas, the first phase of the Sixth Line will be the first widely used LED general purpose energy-saving lamps in the public areas of the station.

Since 2009, Guangzhou Metro has conducted experimental applications of LED lighting fixtures at Huangcun Station, Guanzhou Station, and North University Station. The test results show that compared with fluorescent lamps, LED lamps consume less energy than fluorescent lamps and can save 50%. Moreover, LED lamps do not contain mercury, no ultraviolet radiation, life expectancy can reach more than 40,000 hours, while the life of fluorescent lamps only 8000-10000 hours.

The use of LED lighting on the Guangzhou Metro Line 6 not only saves electricity, reduces electricity bills, but also benefits from the long life of LED lamps. When the subway is re-operated, it can be protected from frequent maintenance and replacement, and it is also convenient for the general public to travel.
