New energy efficiency indicator for the development direction of home appliance industry

Xu Dongsheng, secretary-general of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, said in an interview with reporters that the implementation of new energy efficiency standards for the five home appliance products has positive significance for improving the overall energy efficiency level of the home appliance industry, and also indicates the direction for the future development of the industry. At the same time, the improvement of the new energy efficiency standard test method has realized the integration with international testing methods, making the performance evaluation more scientific and more comprehensive. For example, the test method for air-conditioning products replaces the previous SER index with the APF index, which is improved from simply testing the cooling performance to cooling and heating.

The significant increase in the energy efficiency standards of the five home appliance products will undoubtedly have a major impact on the home appliance industry. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for home appliance companies, and the industry competition landscape is facing new challenges.
