Shenzhen's unqualified batch of LED lamps exported in the first eight months of this year decreased by 27% year-on-year

Recently, it was learned from the Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that in the first eight months of 2012, there were 22,000 batches of LED electric light sources and lamps exported in Shenzhen, with a value of 550 million US dollars, up 22% and 39% respectively over the same period last year. In the same period, the bureau detected a total of 208 batches of LED electric light sources and lamps that failed to pass, with a value of 1.93 million US dollars, a decrease of 27% and 43% respectively over the same period of the previous year. In general, the export of LED electric light sources and lamps in Shenzhen has shown a good momentum of rising quality.

In order to improve the quality of export LED lamps in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau conducted a survey on the unqualified products and the quality control level of enterprises in view of the fact that 90% of the failed lamps in export lamps were LED products in recent years, and found that the types of products failed. Mainly focused on four types of anti-shock structure, internal wiring, external wiring and marking instructions, and the reasons for the failure are mainly due to insufficient enterprise familiarity with standards, rapid product design update, and weak awareness of enterprise quality and safety control.
