Yiguang Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yiguang") filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the Northern District of California on June 10, 2017, accusing the company of Bridgelux, Inc. The products sold infringed the patented technologies of Yiguang US6335548 and US7253448, among which the infringing products include the 2835 series.
Yiguang requested the court to issue an injunction against Puri Optoelectronics' infringing products and stop infringing the patented technology of Everlight, including the prohibition of trafficking, manufacturing, import and export, and damages.
Yiguang US6335548 and US7253448 patent series are important infrastructure patents for LED, and have been patented in all important markets such as the United States, South Korea, Japan, Europe, etc. This technology is widely used in high-power, medium-power, low-power LEDs. Products such as 2835, 5630, 3030, 3535, 5050 and COB.
Yiguang said that it will fully defend its customers and shareholders' rights, and will continue to take legal actions against infringements.
