The main content of the national standard "Performance Requirements for Road and Street Lighting"

National Lighting Quality Supervision and Inspection Center National Lighting Appliance Standardization Technical Committee Lighting Subcommittee

In September 2008, the national standard “Performance Requirements for Road and Street Lighting”, drafted by the National Standards Committee and the National Lighting Standardization Technical Committee Lighting Subcommittee, completed the review procedure for standard setting, and the standard report was submitted to the National Standards Committee. The performance requirements of roads and street lighting fixtures are considered in consideration of the requirements for the use of roads and street lighting, and the industry level is carried out. The technical content of the standard consists of product classification, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules. The technical requirements include product classification, marking, energy efficiency, structure, electrical parameters of the lamp, the light source in the lamp, the protection level of the lamp housing, the key components affecting the life of the lamp, the optical performance of the lamp, and the classification of the performance class of the lamp. . The safety, performance and energy efficiency characteristics of road lighting including performance are several important aspects of evaluating the quality of road lighting.

First, the relevant product standards for road lighting fixtures Road and street lighting fixtures related product standards include product safety standards, product performance standards and photometric test method standards.
- Product safety standards: GB 7000.1-2007 "Lamps Part 1: General requirements and tests" and GB 7000.5-2005 "Safety requirements for road and street lighting"
—Product performance standards: GB XXXX-200X “Performance Requirements for Road and Street Lighting” (Approved)
Note: The latest developments in national standards for lamps are given in the appendix.
- Photometric test method standard: GB/T 9468-2008 "General requirements for luminaire distribution photometric measurement"

In 2003, GB7000.5 has been included in the voluntary certification catalogue, and voluntary safety certification has become an important platform for the safety performance evaluation of road and street lighting. GB/T 9468, first published in 1988, is the method standard for measuring the optical properties of road lighting fixtures. In 2008, a revised version of the standard was also published. The test method specified by this standard is consistent with CIE121.

Second, the main content of "Performance Requirements for Road and Street Lighting"

National Standard GBXXXX-200X "Performance Requirements for Road and Street Lighting" for road and street lighting performance is applicable to the performance requirements of road and street lighting with gas discharge lamps with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V and LED as a light source.
The following is an introduction to the main content of the standard approval draft.

1. Classification of lamps Road lighting fixtures should be classified according to optical characteristics and performance levels. Street lighting fixtures should be classified according to performance level.
(1) Classification of optical characteristics of road lighting fixtures Optical characteristics of road lighting fixtures are classified according to the type of light interception, the type of light distribution, and the type of longitudinal light distribution. See Table 1 for details.
