The new sensors from Bosch Sensortec's application-specific ASSN (sensor node) series combine accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers with Atmel's SAMD20 microcontroller family of Cortex M0+ processors. In a compact 5.2 x 3.8 x 1.1 mm3 individual package, this unit offers a high level of functionality through a “one-stop†solution, making it easier for customers to integrate.
Bosch Sensortec provides a software development kit for BMF055 that includes a pre-compiled BSX Lite fusion library with integration guides, API source files for individual sensors, and a sample project as an Atmel Studio plug-in. The Atmel toolchain can be downloaded from the Atmel website. This software development kit will enable customers to easily develop autonomous application-specific firmware for the BMF055 sensor without the need for an additional application processor.
