D. Foreign Exchange Administration

According to the State Council's " Three Sets " , the main duties of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange are:

(3) To draw up measures for the management of the foreign exchange market, supervise and administer the operational order in the foreign exchange market, cultivate and develop the foreign exchange market, analyze and forecast the supply and demand situation in the foreign exchange market, and provide the People's Bank of China with proposals and basis for formulating exchange rate policies.

(4) Formulate current account exchange management measures, supervise the conduct of current account exchanges according to law, and regulate the management of foreign exchange accounts at home and abroad.

(5) Remittance, remittance, and redemption of transactions and foreign exchange under the supervision of administrative capital projects.

(6) Operating and managing the national foreign exchange reserves as required.

(7) Drafting foreign exchange administrative regulations, checking domestic institutions for the implementation of foreign exchange laws and regulations, and penalizing violations of laws and regulations.

(8) Participate in relevant international financial activities.

E. Entry and exit quarantine department

The National Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of the People's Republic of China was established in March 1998.
