In March 2011, the Intellectual Property Court announced that it had revoked the 089,036 patent of Nichia Chemical Co., Ltd., and dissatisfied with the judgment and appealed to the Supreme Administrative Court. The Supreme Administrative Court announced on October 13 that the original judgment was upheld, and on the 18th, Everlight received the judgment document. Yiguang said that the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs will revoke the patent rights of Nichia Chemical after receiving the judgment of the Supreme Administrative Court.
Yiguang said that its R&D and patent teams have successively discovered evidence of patent invalidation advocated by Nichia, and currently have 21 inventions that have been invalidated against Nichia in the world.
