Organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Robot Industry Alliance, the China International Robot Exhibition, known as the "China Robotics First Exhibition", was held in Shanghai. As one of the important activities of the exhibition, the Intel Artificial Intelligence and Robot Innovation Ecology Summit with the theme of “Huiju? Enjoy†was held concurrently. At the summit, representatives from Intel and the robotics industry and academic circles discussed the opportunities and challenges of the development of China's robot industry in the era of artificial intelligence, shared the practice and latest achievements of Intel's robot innovation ecosystem, and jointly prospected the development of robot industry in the era of artificial intelligence. The vision will further boost the innovation of China's artificial intelligence and robotics industry. International Data Corporation (IDC) and China Information and Communication Research Institute jointly released a white paper entitled "Robot 3.0 New Ecology in the Age of Artificial Intelligence."
At the summit, Intel demonstrated its progress and achievements in building an open robotic innovation ecosystem. Since its release in July 2016, the robot innovation ecosystem has flourished with the support of robot industry partners. At present, more than 1,000 robot teams have been gathered, more than 300 robot supply chain manufacturers, and more than 10,000 online active users, which has promoted the sustainable and healthy development of the Chinese robot industry and accelerated the application of artificial intelligence in the robot industry. It has become an important source of power for the transformation and upgrading of the Chinese robot industry.
The White Paper on Robot 3.0 New Ecology in the Age of Artificial Intelligence released at the summit is the latest collaborative research result of International Data Corporation (IDC) and China Information and Communication Research Institute. The white paper comprehensively analyzes the dynamics and trends of the robot industry, the opportunities and challenges of the Chinese robot industry, and proposes a new concept of "Robot 3.0", pointing out that robots will enter the 3.0 intelligence era, and the combination of artificial intelligence technology and robots will be closer. The white paper specifically studies the “robot innovation ecology†built by Intel's joint industry partners, and believes that it has made a useful attempt to promote organic cooperation and collaborative innovation, and has embarked on a three-dimensional, all-round, organic ecological innovation road. .
Song Jiqiang, president of Intel China Research Institute, shared Intel's artificial intelligence strategy and the latest research in the field of robotics at the summit. He said: "Artificial intelligence is one of Intel's strategic priorities determined in the context of data torrents. As artificial intelligence Intel is the only company that can provide end-to-end architecture and technology. Intel will leverage its technological advantages in artificial intelligence to inject new impetus into the innovation of the robotics industry."
Song Jiqiang, Dean of Intel China Research Institute
Li Desheng, general manager of Intel China Strategic Cooperation Department and general manager of Intel Innovation Accelerator, said at the summit: "The robot innovation ecosystem has received extensive support and response from the industry, fully embodying the importance of open collaboration and joint innovation. Intel will use its own Technology accumulation and global industry experience, combined with innovations in China's artificial intelligence and robotics field, continue to deep cooperation with more ecological partners to jointly create a robot innovation ecosystem in the era of artificial intelligence, and assist Chinese robots in technological innovation, market acceleration, application breakthroughs, etc. Industrial upgrading."
Li Desheng, general manager of Intel China Strategic Cooperation Department and general manager of Intel Innovation Accelerator
The Robot Innovation Challenge, which was created by Intel, Hardcore, Shanghai Micro Energy and innovative eco partners, was held concurrently. The challenge attracted many of the most innovative projects and teams in the field of robots at home and abroad. It took 6 months to launch roadshows in 8 cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. The competition covers industrial, commercial, home and educational applications. The scene, with the support of more than 100 partners, more than 1,000 project teams actively participated in the demonstration and guidance of accelerating the innovation of the robot industry, and vigorously promoted the integration of the robot innovation ecosystem.
