Broadcom Introduces Industry's Smallest 4G LTE-Advanced Modem for Smartphone and Tablet Markets

Compliant with all 3GPP specifications, the BCM21892 integrates a full-featured cellular baseband with a global RF band with a chip area that is approximately 35% less than existing solutions. The solution uses advanced power management techniques to save up to 25% in power consumption during network data transmission. In addition, the modem is capable of supporting LTE Class 4 rates of -150 Mbps, operates on all 3GPP networks, and seamlessly switches between various 4G LTE, 3G and 2G interface technologies.

"Broadcom's new 4G LTE modems are equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC technologies to provide all the necessary communication technologies for OEMs to meet the technical characteristics, speed and functionality of smartphones. Demand." Robert A. Rango, executive vice president and general manager of Broadcom Mobile and Wireless Group, said, "Broadcom's 4G LTE modem will also help operators push new 4G LTE functions (such as carrier aggregation) into commercial networks."

Peter Cooney of ABI Research said: "Operators regard 4G LTE's broad technology coverage as a strong competitive advantage because it can meet consumer demand for higher-end technologies. As global networks are deployed, they are accelerating globally. Equipment manufacturers are also constantly introducing new products to meet market demand. With its successful integration of baseband processors and outstanding execution capabilities, Broadcom will be able to bring innovative mobile broadband technologies to next-generation devices."

To support the transition of operators to 4G LTE networks, the BCM21892 chip has the following features:

· Supports all current 3GPP standard technologies, including LTE FDD and TDD, while supporting carrier aggregation LTE-Advanced, HSPA+, TD-SCDMA and EDGE/GSM functions and formats;

· Integrated global RF band to support almost all 3GPP LTE bands and combinations, this feature is essential for operators to upgrade 4G LTE networks to meet global roaming needs. The chip also uses advanced power management technology, the power consumption of the network can be reduced by up to 25%;

· Integrated LTE voice solution (VoLTE) for high-definition voice calls over mobile broadband connections. This feature is a key requirement for operators to transition from traditional networks to next-generation networks. Compared with WCDMA voice calls, Broadcom's VoLTE service consumes about 40% less power;

· Increased interoperability with Broadcom's wireless coexistence technology. This technology minimizes RF interference between Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE, enabling operators to offer a richer Wi-Fi offload experience;

· Compatible with a wide range of standalone application processors, enabling OEMs to design 4G LTE solutions for a wide range of mobile devices

Supply:

At present, Broadcom is providing samples of BCM21892 to early customers, which is expected to be mass-produced in 2014.

Education Projector

Educational projectors are mainly aimed at classroom teaching by school teachers; traditional projectors are not easy to carry. Due to the naughty students in school classrooms, projectors are not safe to place in classrooms and are easily damaged by students. The portability of educational micro-projectors makes up for teaching Vacancy, it is convenient for teachers to give lectures and only need to store the materials in the projector and show them to students for teaching, saving the trouble of textbooks and handwriting with pens and chalks. Its general weight will not exceed 0.2Kg, and some do not even need fan cooling or ultra-small silent fan cooling.

Educational projectors need to have:

1. Clear handwriting Educational projectors most often display text and images, at least a resolution of 1024*768 or more, and a contrast ratio of more than 3000 lumens, so that students in the back row can see the projection clearly

2. Short-focus large screen;

3. Accurate color;

4. Easy operation;

5. Features such as multiple connection methods.
