TDK® has introduced the newly developed EPCOS® CeraDiodeTM series of multilayer varistors , including the most compact and rugged ultra - thin varistor available for mobile devices? ESD® protection . The compactness of this new range of surface mount ultra - thin varistors is unparalleled in the world. It is available in an LGA package with an area of ​​only 0.47mm?x?0.47mm and a height reduction of only 0.1mm and EIA? 0402, 0201 and smaller enclosures. This makes it possible to produce a volume that is about 80% smaller than conventional products, while providing a varistor that provides extremely reliable ESD protection.

The new CeraDiodes series of varistors have an ESD immunity of 15?kV or 25?kV (depending on the model), meeting or exceeding the industry's need for ESD protection for high sensitivity integrated circuits.
