Recently, Datang NXP of Datang Telecom accepted the ISO 26262 process certification from the TUV Nande Shanghai office, which is the third certification since the project was launched. The assessment focused on the conceptual phase of process certification, related processes and documentation. The TUV Nande Shanghai office staff who participated in the verification said that as of now, Datang NXP has the correct process in the ISO 26262 functional safety process certification, and the process and document templates applicable in the concept phase have been established, and the documents in the concept phase have been completed.
The ISO 26262 standard, promulgated in 2011, is the main international standard for regulating the safety of vehicles on the road. In today's automotive industry, more and more safety systems have followed this standard, especially in the field of safety control of new energy vehicles.
The Datang NXP ISO 26262 project was launched in October 2015 and is the first company in China's automotive semiconductor industry to launch this certification. In the past two years, under the support of external consultants and internal R&D departments of TUV Nande, based on the requirements of ISO 26262 project certification, Datang NXP has established a company-level functional safety program, which is in line with the company's development. The functional safety plan, completed the concept analysis, FMEDA (failure mode and risk) analysis and other processes and documents a total of 19, effectively coordinated the smooth progress of the project.
